About the event
The Jillson House will host a dramatic presentation about the life, family, and military accomplishments of one of our
local heroes, Colonel Knowlton, and will discuss his important role in the American Revolution and the founding of
America. Knowlton was raised in Ashford, was First Selectman there and would come to lead America’s first spies, the Knowlton Rangers, and then have the distinction of being known as the Father of Military Intelligence. Admission is free, donations always gladly accepted. Have a look at some of the other programs going on this year locally on the first Saturday of each month.
